The Hindu Civilization is one the oldest civilizations in the world. Its philosophy, traditions, art, science and technology are thousands of years old. The Hindu Civilization has made significant contributions to modern mathematics, astronomy, medicine, mineralogy. literature, sculpture, dance and other art forms; yet its influence is not fully appreciated by many in today's society.

The Canadian Museum of Hindu Civilization will serve to enlighten and to educate about Hindu heritage and accomplishments. It will also serve to dispel myths about the Hindu Civilization as a polytheistic and idol worshipping. It will also explore how the current form of the cast system came into being and why Gandhi worked to dismantle it. This museum will demonstrate the strength of the Hindu Civilization through its fundamental tenets of non-violence and its acceptance that all faiths speak the "truth" - "for the paths are many, but they lead to the same goal".
